A GoFundMe to help pay for the expenses of the man reportedly responsible for the shooting death of Brackenridge Police Chief Justin McIntire is drawing harsh criticism.

The Big K Morning Show’s Marty Griffin posted this tweet on Tuesday morning asking if the campaign should be allowed.
Some of those responding said things like, “hell no” and “this is a DISGRACE!”
The fundraiser has been set up by Swan’s sister.
“My family will be accepting donations to go towards my brothers funeral anything will help! Thank you,” a post on the website says.
As of noon on Tuesday, a little over $700 has been raised with a goal of $3,850.
Swan reportedly ambushed McIntire while the chief was perusing him in Brackenridge.
Swan was wanted for a parole violation.
After he fatally shot McIntire, Swan fled and was later fatally shot in a shootout with Pittsburgh Police in Homewood.
Swan had a lengthy history of criminal activity.
In 2014, he was convicted of shooting at a K-9 officer in East Liberty.
In 2017, he was convicted of armed robbery and inflicting serious bodily injury.
And in 2019, he pleaded guilty to drug sales after being arrested in Mount Oliver.
Allegheny County Magistrate Judge Gene Riccardi told the Big K Morning Show, people like Swan shouldn't have been released in the first place.
“This criminal was on the streets, should’ve never been on the streets, should’ve been behind bars,” said Riccardi. “When are we going to wake up and realize that some men and women are just bad individuals and should be jailed.”
Allegheny County Housing Authority Police Chief Mike Vogel told KDKA Radio during Chief McIntire’s funeral last week that laws need to change to better protect offices.
“It’s unimaginable that individuals can go to jail for minute crimes on the federal level, however you can shoot at police officers and be out walking the streets two years later,” said Vogel.
