Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a vehicle crash turned out to be more than that.
Police got the call shortly after 1am Tuesday that a vehicle had hit a pole at East Carson Street and Arlington Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers found an off-duty firefighter perming CPR on a victim, who had been shot and drove into the pole.
The man was taken to UPMC Mercy in critical condition. He died a short time later.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office identified the man as 41-year-old Bradford McCary of Wilkinsburg.
So far, there are no suspects in the shooting. The investigation continues.
