
Both the Harris and Trump campaigns are making last-stop pushes in the Pittsburgh area the day before the election.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ original campaign stop at Point State Park has been moved to the Carrie Blast Furnaces in Rankin.
The move comes after Secret Service officials deemed Point State Park “unsafe”.
The “Vote for Freedom” rally will feature Andra Day, DJ Arie Cole, D-Nice and pop superstar Katy Perry.
The event is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. It’s unknown what time Vice President Harris will speak to the crowd.
At PPG Paints Arena, Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump will speak at a rally.
Doors open at 2 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena and the event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Trump will start the day in Raleigh, North Carolina before heading to Reading and then going to Grand Rapids, Michigan after his Pittsburgh appearance.
The City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County has announced that non-essential employees will be dismissed early on Monday.
Also, "Due to anticipated large crowds and road closures, all Pittsburgh Public Schools will follow a half-day schedule on Monday, November 4th," PPS said in a release.
Others that don’t have to be in Downtown Pittsburgh area are encouraged to avoid the area due to anticipated traffic issues.
