One firefighter was injured battling a two-alarm fire the Upper Hill Wednesday morning.
Pittsburgh Public Safety says flames broke out in a house around 7 a.m. on the 3300 block of Webster Avenue.
Firefighters saw flames coming from a third-floor bedroom of the house. It spread to the third floor of the house next door, promoting a second alarm.
All residents affected were able to safely get out of the house before crews arrived and one firefighter suffered a “minor knee injury”. They were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The fire was brought under control around 7:30.
The Red Cross is assisting three families that were displaced during the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
