Special Effects Artist and Pittsburgh native Tom Savini is recovering after a serious crash.
The horror icon said he was riding a bicycle in Pittsburgh late last week when a car hit him.
Later on, Savini posted photos of himself after sustaining injuries to his head and other parts of his body.

Savini Thanks Pittsburgh Police and Paramedics for coming to his "aid so quickly."
The accident forced Savini to cancel a public appearance in Nashville.
He has made his mark in make-up and special effects for horror movies and he teaches his craft to students in Monessen.
