The man Cranberry Police were searching for and found dead Thursday afternoon near Cranberry Highlands Golf Course has been identified.

Employees there notified authorities they saw a disabled car with weapons inside and a man who wasn't coherent.

The man was identified as 37-year-old Logan Cumberland of Ellwood City.

The search for the man led to a shelter-in-place order for about two hours.

Authorities say officers and Cumberland exchanged gunfire before he was found dead in a wooded area.

Police are not saying if he was shot by officers or shot himself.
