An investigation is underway after a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle and a man was shot in the head Sunday morning in Sheraden.
Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert around 5:40 a.m. Sunday on Minton Street.
They found a woman who was unconscious from being hit by a car in the street. Medics arrived to the scene and attempted to revive her.
According to police she was pronounced dead.
Later on police say they were called to the Sunoco gas station in Esplen for a man who had been shot in the head.
The victim went to the hospital to get have his head injury looked at. He was in stable condition.
He told police that he was shot in Sheraden.
Police are trying to see if the two incidents are connected.
