A local reporter has found a new home at KDKA-TV.
Steubenville, Ohio native and West Virginia University graduate Jessica Riley has joined the news team at KDKA-TV.
Riley comes from WTOV-TV in Steubenville and started covering news this week in Pittsburgh after saying she had to keep the hiring a secret for a little bit.
“This opportunity means so much to me, and I can’t wait to get out there and start covering stories in my newfound community!” she said in a social media post.
Riley spent over two years at WTOV before making her way to KDKA-TV.
Riley tells KDKA Radio, "I’m beyond excited to join the incredible team at KDKA! Growing up just outside of Pittsburgh, I always dreamed of reporting in the city, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a beloved news station. The history and legacy of KDKA is something that I respect and am thrilled to be a small part of it. I can’t wait to share the stories that matter to people of the city where I now live. In the tradition of Pittsburgh's own Mr. Rogers - I looked forward to getting out and meeting all my neighbors!"
