Lane restrictions are coming for two major arteries, one in the North Hills and the other in the South Hills, over the weekend.

On Friday night, a crossover begins on Route 51 in Pleasant Hills reducing traffic to a single lane in each direction for about one mile through June for several projects.

That closure takes place between Coal Valley Road and East Bruceton Street.

And a section of McKnight Road near Babcock Boulevard will be down to one lane in each direction with a crossover near Ross Municipal Drive while crews are working on a bridge deck and barriers.

The project is expected to wrap up early in the summer.
