Larrimor's, a historic family-owned designer clothing institution in downtown Pittsburgh, has announced it will close permanently after 87 years of operation.
The upscale retailer, which first opened its doors in 1939 and served three generations of local families, will initiate a total inventory liquidation sale beginning Wednesday at its One PNC Plaza location.
The Pittsburgh Business Times reports the storefront plans to shutter no later than the end of December, marking a significant loss for the Golden Triangle's dwindling apparel retail sector.
