The case against a retired Pittsburgh police commander accused of recording fellow officers with his body-cam just got bigger.
A federal civil lawsuit was filed this week against the City of Pittsburgh and former Commander Matthew Lackner.
An investigation began in October after a body-cam was found hidden in an unmarked police vehicle.
Lackner allegedly made 14 recordings of multiple officers without their knowledge.
He retired after the allegations and was charged with wiretapping crimes.
The federal suit seeks damages to cover the attorney's fees of seven officers who contend their 4th and 14th Amendment rights were violated.
