Living Treasure Wild Animal Park in New Castle has announced the birth of a new Clouded Leopard.

Clouded Leopard’s are listed as a “vulnerable” species. "It is through facilities and programs like ours that they have the best chance for survival," Living Treasures said in a Facebook post.

Video from Living Treasures show “Squeaks” roaming his habitat and “making himself at home.”

The National Zoo in Washington D.C. says “Due to its forest habitat, clouded leopards have large, dexterous paws with specialized footpads for gripping branches.Specialized anklebones allow varied position for climbing, including climbing headfirst down trees. Another distinctive feature of the clouded leopard is its long canine teeth. These canines are longer in proportion to skull size than those of any other species of wild cat.”

Living Treasures Moraine is located at 268 Fox Road in New Castle, PA.

The park is open now through November.

Clouded Leopards are native to Nepal, Bangladesh, China and parts of India.
