We're learning more about the two teenagers killed in last Sunday's mass shooting on the North Side.
17-year-old Matthew Steffy-Ross was attending Grace Non-Traditional Christian Academy, which partners with Terrie Suicca-Reed's organization, Phase 4 learning center.
"Tons of skill and talent within this young man and he just wanted to have a safe place to be and he wanted to have a strong future and wanted to make his family proud of him," Suicca-Reed said.
Services for Steffy-Ross were Saturday.
17-year-old Jaiden Brown's cousin Nathaniel Carter said his funeral services were standing room only, friends and family pouring in from all sides of his life.
He described his cousin as an honest young man with a unique smile. He said their last interaction was at a local Walmart, where Brown worked.
"He and I embraced and chat for a little bit. We exchanged some jokes. That would definitely be the memory that stands out," said Carter.
Carter says Brown was looking into trade school as his next step.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
