Madonna is on the road to recovery after a recent hospitalization.

She reportedly developed a bacterial infection, was found unresponsive in New York City and then taken to the hospital.

Her “Celebration” tour was scheduled to begin on July 15 in Vancouver, BC, but the tour was postponed due to her medical issues.

The 40th celebration of Madonna’s music was set for an August 7 stop at PPG Paints Arena, but was also part of the postponements.

On Monday, Madonna released a statement saying that the “current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and begin in October in Europe.”

She added in the statement that she first thought of her children when she woke up in the hospital and then about the people who bought a ticket to her tour.

“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I can assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can!” the Material Girl added.

We’ll let you know when new dates are announced.
