Penguins superstar Evgeni Malkin's Stanley Cup rings were found in his Sewickley Heights residence.

That's the word from Allegheny County Police, who continue to investigate a burglary at Malkin's home last weekend.

The Penguins star issued a statement on social media expressing gratitude to law enforcement and said "The outpouring of support and concern from my teammates and fans... means so much."

Malkin is the latest high-profile athlete to be robbed.

While his incident hasn’t been connected to other break-ins, local police and the FBI believe higher-income residences are being targeted by a well-organized South American crime syndicate.

Malkin helped the Penguins win the Stanley Cup in 2009 and again in 2016 and 2017.

Anyone that has any information about the break-in is asked to call County Police at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
