A man accused of killing a motorcyclist on Sunday night during a hit-and-run in Dormont is confirmed to be in the United States illegally.

That’s according to a federal agent that told KDKA Radio’s Colin Dunlap, “Saul Rivera-Ramirez was previously removed from the US and unlawfully re-entered, without admission or parole by an immigration official."

The agent tells Dunlap that Rivera-Ramirez was previously deported and then came back into the United States illegally.

Rivera-Ramirez is accused of killing Christian Sluka after an accident at the intersection of Pioneer and West Liberty Avenues around 10:45 p.m.

Allegheny County Police say Rivera-Ramirez was driving a Ford Taurus at the time of the collision and that he fled the scene with a woman and a child in the car.

He's in the Allegheny County Jail, and is facing homicide and other charges.
