A man is charged with retail theft, accused of trying to steal Terrible Towels.
Police were called to Giant Eagle's Cranberry Township store last Saturday where the loss prevention team said they watched Richard Williams stuff several items, including 25 Terrible Towels, into paper bags, walk past the registers and to the exit.
Williams reportedly dropped the stolen items when he was confronted.
Police say he has two prior convictions for retail theft.
Williams is being held in the Butler County jail on a $35,000 cash bond.
