West Virginia State Police say a man in Pittsburgh made threats directed towards schools and businesses in West Virginia.
Pittsburgh Police were searching for the man shortly before 2am Tuesday morning in the 100 block of South 19th Street in the South Side when they heard glass and other items being broken inside the apartment he was believed to be in.
He refused to leave the apartment, so SWAT was called in.
After giving a number of commands for the man to come out, SWAT entered the apartment shortly before 5am. Police say the suspect was combative and had to be tasered.
He was taken into custody.
The investigation into the threats to schools and businesses will be conducted by the West Virginia State Police.
