A man and a bystander were shot and a woman was beaten during a domestic dispute Wednesday afternoon in McKees Rocks.
Police were sent to the 1000 block of Lake Street where a couple was fighting inside a home.
Officers say 28-year-old Gene Brown was shot by his girlfriend because he was hitting her.
Brown is accused of hitting his girlfriend with the weapon and also shooting a man who was driving by and stopped to see what was going on.
Brown is charged with attempted homicide.
