A man pleaded guilty Monday in connection with the shooting death of 15-month-old Marcus White Jr. in 2013.
The Allegheny County District Attorney's Office says 23-year-old Gregory Parker pleaded guilty to third degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy and firearms violations.
In exchange, the county withdrew the remaining charges and agreed to a 10 to 20 year prison term in the state penitentiary.
White and his two aunts were shot at a cookout in May 2013. One of the women was holding White at the time of the shooting. Both women survived.
Parker was charged last summer after detectives began reexamining the case in February 2020.
29-year-old Desaun Watson also charged in the shooting in May. He is scheduled to be in court next month.
