Man shot by officers after refusing to drop knife at Greyhound station

There was an officer involved shooting in Downtown Pittsburgh Wednesday morning.

Homicide detectives are investigating an incident at the Greyhound bus station.


A 911 call was made a few minutes after 6:30 a.m. about a fight involving two men on a bus that moved into the terminal.

One of the men was actively trying to stab the other man and an undercover agent with the state Attorney General's office ordered the man holding the knife to drop it.

He reportedly refused and the agent shot him in the chest and stomach Both men were hospitalized, the man who was wounded is in critical condition.

The other man hit his head on the ground and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
