A man wanted on multiple firearms warrants is behind bars after he was arrested in an attic.
The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Carols Hart didn’t appear early this month for two non-jury trials on firearms charges. He is also suspected of violating probation on another case of robbery and firearms convictions.
Officers learned Hart was in a residence on Collins Avenue in East Liberty.
Upon entering the residence on Wednesday, detectives found out that Hart was in the attic.
Hart initially refused to surrender and threatened to shoot if detectives tried to arrest him.
After about 30 minutes of talking, Hart came out of the attic, was arrested and taken to Allegheny County Jail.
A loaded firearm was also discovered in the attic after Hart came out.
He now faces additional charges.
