Congressman Mike Doyle spoke to KDKA Radio's Marty Griffin from inside his locked office at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. amid the ongoing protests taking place Wednesday.

The capitol was placed in lockdown and at least one person sustained a gunshot wound.

He places the blame for the violence on President Donald Trump.

"I'm angry. This isn't our country," Doyle told KDKA Radio's Marty Griffin. "This president encouraged these folks to come down on his Twitter site. Said the day, be here at 11 o'clock, logistics to follow. Held a rally, 11 o'clock this morning. Lied like he always does about this election. Said 200,000 more Pennsylvanians voted than we had people registered to vote. That's been checked out and totally debunked.

"And then he told the people to march down to the Capitol. So he encouraged this," said Doyle.
