The Montour School District is offering to reimburse families for damage done to clothing due to cleaning products used by the district to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Parents were notified in a letter from the Superintendent, Dr. Christopher Stone.
The district had been using a product called Vital Oxide to disinfect surfaces.
According the to the letter, too much and stick to clothing and cause it to discolor.
"With that in mind, the District would like to reimburse any students that have been affected by this damage to their clothing," wrote Stone.
The letter also stated that the district is taking steps to prevent future clothing damage, but did not provide details of those actions.
