Allegheny County Police have arrested a woman after the death of her 3-month-old child.
Duquesne Police were dispatched to a residence on the 300 block of Hemlock Alley in Duquesne just before 2 a.m. on January 7 for a report of an unresponsive male infant.
The baby was taken to the hospital where he died.
An autopsy showed the child died due to blunt force trauma to the head and it was ruled an adult attacked the baby.
Through and investigation, it was found only the child’s mother, 26-year-old Alisha Park was the only adult in the home at the time of the incident.
She is charged with criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was taken into custody on Wednesday.
