A recent graduate from Franklin Regional High School was killed over the weekend in an accident in Derry Township, Westmoreland County.
Police say 18-year-old Damian Bearly, of Murrysvile, was driving on Route 982 early Saturday when his vehicle hit a deer and slammed into a tree and a utility pole.
Bearly died at the scene and a 16-year-old girl who was a passenger was injured.
