N. Braddock man arrested after shots fired into delivery truck

Allegheny County Police filed charges against a man after shot were fired into a vehicle in North Braddock Monday.

Police say a delivery driver was on Copland Avenue when his truck was nearly hit by a silver sedan at a stop sign.

The man in the delivery truck reported the car, with at least two females inside, started following him onto Copeland Avenue and after coming to a dead end, the victim tried to turn around.

While doing so, he saw the silver sedan, now parked, in the 200 block of Copeland Avenue.

A man, identified at 36-year-old Dontae Brown walked toward the delivery driver’s vehicle and pointed a gun at him.

The delivery driver started to drive away and told police he heard multiple gun shots.

The vehicle was hit at least three times and the driver was not injured.

Through an investigation, detectives were able to find the residence Brown went into after the shooting.

With the assistance of multiple departments, Brown was taken into custody. Two firearms were found inside the residence as well.

Brown is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence.
