A woman in Perryopolis is looking for about 30 cows after they escaped from a farm over the weekend.

Stormy Gower, owner of Thundering Hill Farm, says there has been no trace of the cows since they escaped.

She says she has no idea how that many cows could’ve gotten free without a trace.

Gower believes the cows got out after the power company was on the property to do some work and left the gate open.

“We did not give them permission to open gates and enter fields. Our gates are clearly posted,” Gower wrote on Facebook.

The good news, a horse (Beetle) and donkey (Olaf) that escaped were recovered about five miles away.

Gower tells KDKA Radio she and her three kids lost their home to a house fire in June and have been living out of a hotel since.

The cows are Gower’s livelihood and is asking anyone who may see the cows to call her at 724-323-3762.

She is also going through a divorce and her father is battling lung cancer.

The missing cows may seem strange, but Gower says with the storms that have been affecting the area, other animals are roaming around.
