KDKA Radio Editorial: No Place In Pittsburgh For Hate Crime

Four instances of ethnic intimidation occurred this month at a home in the Mexican War Streets. Someone removed an Israeli flag from the property and threw it away.

A few days later, someone pasted anti-Semitic propaganda on the front door and spray painted A Nazi rallying cry on the sidewalk.

Earlier, a handwritten message was left in a mailbox and an Israeli flag was defaced.

There’s video of the person or persons behind these despicable acts and it is likely tips will help police identify the young man or men.

And then there are the protests.

It’s one thing to support Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire and call for a cease fire, but how many demonstrators can locate Israel on a map or explain Hamas’ primary mission?

We condemn hate crimes against our Jewish neighbors. They are shocking, appalling and unacceptable.
