A police officer lost part of his finger Monday evening in Beaver County after responding to a domestic dispute.
Rochester Police responded to the 100 block of Monroe Street on Monday evening around 10:30 after receiving multiple calls of a domestic incident in an apartment.
According to a criminal complaint, officers were walking into the residence when the woman involved in the dispute slammed a door on one of the officer’s hands.
Part of the finger was amputated when the door was closed.
She reportedly said she slammed the door shut because the police did not have the right to enter her residence.
The dispute reportedly started when a woman involved attacked her boyfriend because he wouldn’t make her a meal.
