PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Just before 2:45 p.m. Friday afternoon, Pittsburgh Police were alerted to reports of nine shots fired on the 2400 block of Chauncey Drive in the Hill District.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a male victim who was shot in his side.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
Two males were detained for questioning and a pair of firearms were recovered from the scene.
Three vehicles were struck by bullets in the shooting.
An investigation is open by the mobile and violent crime units.
