PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Just after noon on Christmas Eve, Pittsburgh Police officers patrolling Zone 1 responded to multiple locations after they heard gunshots.
Officers originally heard shots from the 3100 block of McClure Avenue in Woods Run.
They were then notified of more shots fired in the 1400 block of Woods Run Avenue.
Both scenes began being processed by the mobile crime unit and shell casings were found at both locations.
As investigations began, medics were flagged down in the area of North Avenue and Middle Street by a witness.
The witness was tending to a victim who was then transported to a hospital in stable condition.
The victim suffered from gunshot wounds to the lower back and leg.
No arrests have been made an investigations are ongoing.
