A pro-Palestinian protest and a vigil for Israeli hostages killed in Gaza were held Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
Demonstrators concealing their faces called for a cease fire in Gaza as they chanted near the Pitt campus.
Tension mounted when they were confronted by a small pro-Israel group.
A couple of hours later, a vigil at the Jewish Community Center paid tribute to the six Israeli hostages found dead in Gaza Sunday.
Senator John Fetterman attended the vigil, telling KDKA-TV the innocent civilians were executed by Hamas.
The vigil and rally came days after two Jewish students were attacked on the Pitt campus by a man wearing a keffiyeh, a symbol of support for Palestinians.
