A section of Smallman Street in the Strip District will impact drivers through next February.
The City of Pittsburgh says Smallman Street will be closed between 29th and 30th Streets until February 2025.
The road is closed due to two construction projects going on at the same time across the street from each other.
"Both projects require sidewalk and lane closures for deliveries, material staging, and crane staging," the City said in a release.
While the section of the street is closed to through traffic, resident driveways and business entrances are accessible unless otherwise noted.
"We're actively taking steps to minimize the impact this closure has on city residents," said Kim Lucas Department of Mobility and Infrastructure Director.
"Although this closure may affect morning and afternoon rush hours, effective detours have been established."
Inbound traffic is detoured via 20th to Penn Avenue to 29th Street. Outbound detours via 29th Street to Liberty Avenue to 30th and then to Smallman.
