PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — On Thursday, PennDOT District 11 announced the completion of one of its long-term road maintenance projects: Boston Hollow Road on Route 48.
And the Elizabeth Township and Lincoln Borough road has reopened for traffic.
Contract workers were mostly replacing culverts near the intersection at Finney Road.
The culvert work is finished, but the same area is scheduled to have slide repair work done next spring.
While the road is reopening to traffic now, there will be a future single-lane restriction to do paving work in the area, loosely scheduled for next March or April.
The culvert work was part of a larger $1.74 million road work project.
