A person is behind bars on firearms violations after a traffic stop overnight.
Police responded to an eight-round ShotSpotter alert near Bedford Dwellings.
Officers followed a vehicle to Oakland where they stopped the car at Centre Avenue and North Craig Street.
As officers tried to take the driver into custody a passenger ran into a parking garage.
Police were unable to find the person that ran off.
A gun was recovered inside the car.
The driver is currently in Allegheny County Jail.
An investigation is ongoing.
