A Jeannette man is facing multiple criminal charges after he allegedly released a pit bull that attacked a police canine that was assisting federal authorities.
63-year-old Gino Ferrari was arrested following an investigation into the incident on Adams Avenue.
That's where officers were forced to physically deploy pepper spray to compel the pit bull to release its grip.
K-9 Diesel was rushed to a local veterinary hospital, where he was treated for puncture wounds to his neck.
Ferrari faces charges of injuring a police dog and other charges.
