Cell phone repair stores are incredibly popular around the Pittsburgh area with several locations available north, east, south and west of the city.
A reason for the brisk business may have to do with the fact that Pittsburgh is considered one of the clumsiest cities in America.
Tech care company Asurion, which runs several uBreakiFix locations in the area, compiled a list of the top 52 clumsiest cities in America and Pittsburgh came in at 25, just ahead of Orlando and just under Norfolk.
Rankings were based on where phones are dropped, cracked, and broken.
Some of the factors used were: heat and humidity which can cause phone owners to sweat and drop their phones, vacation destinations where there’s an increase in bodies of water for people to drop their phones into accidentally, and other factors such as age, weather, and cultural activities in the city.
Coming in at clumsiest is New Orleans. San Francisco is considered the most graceful.
