A butcher shop in Pittsburgh has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.
Martins Meat & Deli on Wood Street was ordered closed last week due to several violations, including operating without a food permit.
Other issues observed by inspectors include, cold foot being held at unsafe temperatures with inadequate places to maintain proper temperatures.
There was also lack of cross-contamination prevention and lack of personal employee hygiene.
Food contact surfaces were not cleaned properly.
More issues include lack of hot water, insufficient plumbing, no final plumbing approval, lack of handwashing sink and no certified protection food protection manager on site.
