Zach Bryan’s popularity has skyrocketed, quickly becoming one of the most popular country acts in the entire country.
On Tuesday evening through Saturday, you’ll be able to hear a preview of his new album “The Great American Bar Scene” at Brillobox on Penn Avenue right near Children’s Hospital.
Brillobox is only one of 23 bars across America that will preview the bar.
In a message on social media, Bryan wrote “I have chosen 23 bars across the country that embody the spirit of American culture.”
So, why the Brillobox? That would be the work of Read Connolly, a member of Bryan’s band.
A Pittsburgh native, Connolly (who plays banjo and steel guitar for Bryan) tells Colin Dunlap on KDKA Radio, “immediately my mind went to Brillobox because that’s a place that’s been really important to me, growing up as a college student and then as an adult in Pittsburgh, I was playing shows at Brillobox and then started to make friends with the bar staff and the owner.”
Connolly says that the Brillobox is important because it’s “created this sense of community for me and my family and that is emblematic of the ‘Great American Bar Scene’ to me so, I knew that they had to be a part of it.”
Bryan added in his post that he’ll be visiting some of the bars that are previewing his album, but Brillobox isn’t slated to be one of them.
If you haven’t heard of Zach Bryan yet, you will soon. Bryan, Connolly and the rest of the band just headlined the Buckeye Country Superfest at Ohio Stadium over two days with over 127,000 people attending over both days.
