Fallen Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Battalion Chief John Walsh is set to be laid to rest today.

Chief Walsh died last week of a medical emergency while in command of a fire scene in the city's East Hills neighborhood.

The funeral procession departed from Slater Funeral Home in Scott Township with the funeral mass set to begin at 10 a.m.

Traffic restrictions include Fifth Avenue in Oakland from Bellefield to Wilkins Avenue and will end at Noon.

PRT says that buses on select routes in Oakland will be detoured.

Following the mass, Chief Walsh will be laid to rest at Holy Savior Cemetery in Gibsonia.
