Pittsburgh Magazine is saluting the nurses this week.
Rich Cook, the Director of Digital Media for Pittsburgh Magazine, tells the NewsRadio KDKA morning show that Thanksgiving is the perfect day to honor our nurses:
"These people that are picked by their peers and they really have extraordinary stories", he says. "COVID-19 showed the world the important role nurses play in healthcare. They're going into the hot zone everyday, and they approach the work with care and patience despite maybe their own fears and yet they remain compassionate".
