A man is now dead after a shooting in the Knoxville section of the city early-Friday morning.
Officials responded to the area of Bausman Street and Brownsville Road at approximately 2:45 a.m. after officers heard shots fired while on patrol.
The male victim was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Nobody is in custody at this time. The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
