Pittsburgh Public Safety is warning of a scam targeting residents.
Someone has been impersonating an Animal Care & Control officer and asking people to pay over the phone for a loss and/or injured pet.
Public Safety says Animal Care & Control will never call and will never ask for money.
If you receive a phone call similar to this, you're asked to report it immediately by calling police at 412-323-7844.
