Plans are moving forward for a new event venue and parking garage on the former Civic Arena site.
The Penguins and Live Nation updated their plans for the Urban Redevelopment Authority Thursday.
The Business Times reports a new design and strategy has the venue being built first with the garage coming later.
That brings the estimated cost from $110 million to 64 million.
Construction is expected to start in the fall, with an opening in 2026.
The entertainment venue will have seating for up to 4,500 people.
