PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police Zone 2 officers responded to numerous 911 calls for a collision Downtown Friday night.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered a pedestrian that had been hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Wood Street.
The accident reportedly occurred around 8:15 p.m.
According to the responding officers, the pedestrian, a senior citizen male, had a laceration on his head but was otherwise fine.
He was alert and conscious as he was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and was cooperative with the officers.
An investigation has been opened into the incident.
