A 39-year-old woman told police two men with guns broke in around 1:30 Tuesday morning, tied her up along with her teenage son, ransacked the place and left with the boy at gunpoint.

It happened at Stockton Ridge, a gated community with a mix of townhomes and condos off Ehrman Road near Interstate 79.

The woman says the men left in her vehicle.

Police say the men abandoned it a short distance away where another vehicle was waiting.

About three and a half hours later, the 17-year-old called 911 from a convenience store in Beaver County and has since been returned to his mother.

Police say the crimes were not random and have yet to find out why the family was targeted.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cranberry Township Police at 724-776-5180 ext. 5.
