During a walk through Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, officers from the bureau's Community Engagement Office saved a man's life.
According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, the officers were alerted to a man on the steps of a home who may have overdosed.
Three doses of Narcan were administered as well as chest compressions on the man.
He regained consciousness. He was given oxygen by Engine 17 Firefighters. The man was conscious and alert when taken to a local hospital.
Officer Jon Bradford, Officer Brian Shelton and Officer Aundre Wright are all credited with taking action to save the man's life.
