
A Pittsburgh-area restaurant that’s been featured national is changing ownership.
The famous Dor-Stop Restaurant in Dormont will be closed on Monday, February 12 to transition to new ownership and will reopen on Thursday, February 15.
Outgoing owners Justin and Jennifer Berger have operated the diner for the past 8 and a half years are moving on to “something new.”
The new owner is Evren Karabacak and there is a hint of "exciting upcoming changes."
Those changes? A potential expanded menu and hours.
“It’s been an adventure and we’ve met so many amazing people. You have supported us through some very challenging times and we are truly grateful,” the Bergers wrote on Facebook.
Dor-Stop is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The diner has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.
The Dor-Stop is known for it’s famous breakfast and lunch with its corned beef Rueben.
The location at 1430 Potomac Avenue has been operating since 1986.
