A higher quality glass recycling option will be provided, instead of a typical curbside program. It will meet the highest standards residents expect.

“The bin visits various locations on a weekly basis from Saturday through Thursday, typically from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and provides residents with a safe method for recycling glass while eliminating the need to interact with other individuals or touch shared surfaces,” according to Ashley DiGregorio, PRC Recycling Markets and Grants Manager.

From April 2nd to April 7th, residents can drop off their glass recyclables to Harrison Hills Park. It’s the Chipmunk Drive lot near park office, on Freeport Road.

On April 30th to May 5th, the city of Hermitage will host this event. This is in Mercer County. It will be on 541 Mercer Avenue, Hermitage, PA 16148 across from Morefield Cemetery.

Last year, PRC’s glass recycling program enabled 30,000 households in western Pennsylvania to drop of more than 1,000,000 pounds of bottles, jars and jugs for recycling.
